Ballistic stretching involves active muscular effort similar to dynamic stretching. However, ballistic stretching uses a bouncing or jerking movement to increase the stretch.
Ballistic stretching is effective at increasing range of motion but has been associated with injury, particularly where there has been previous injuries. Ballistic stretches often activates the muscle spindles and triggers the stretch-reflex.
Frankenstein March: A straight leg march, kicking your leg up from the hip, and trying to touch your hands with your toes, directly out in front of you. So essentially, you're walking like "Frankenstein" but getting full flexion of the hip. This targets your hamstrings and calves which are usually some of the tightest areas on your body.
