Assessment of Cardiorespiratory Endurance
CR Endurance, Fitness, or aerobic capacity is determined by the maximal amount of oxygen the human body is able to utilize per minute of physical activity, also known as VO2max. This is expressed in liters per minute, or milliliters per kilogram per minute.
In comparing two people with the same absolute value, the one with the lesser body mass will have a higher relative value, which is indicative that more oxygen will be available to each 2.2 pounds, or kilogram, of body weight.
